Summer Camps All summer camps will be held at the Friendship Center in southeast Denver. Prices listed are for one dancer. Additional family members or camps are half price.
Feis Prep Camp—Tuesday, July 5-Friday, July 8, 4:30-6:30 p.m. $75 per person for all four sessions, or $25 per person for one session This camp is designed to help dancers prepare for the Colorado Irish Festival Feis held July 9-10 at Clement Park, but it will also be helpful for dancers who want to review all their different dances and receive comments and advice on how to improve technique. Each class will start with a short warmup, and then dancers will work on the steps for two different dances each evening (one soft shoe and one hard shoe). Dancers will receive comments on each dance, and then they will work on technique. Each class will finish with stretches. All ages and ability levels are welcome.
Dance Intensive—Tuesday, July 12-Friday, July 15, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. $250 per person for all four days, or $90 per person for one day We’ll do it all during this camp. Each day will start with a warmup and conditioning exercises, followed by intensive work on either a soft shoe or a hard shoe dance. Dancers will then stretch and have a lunch break, during which we will watch a family-friendly Irish movie. After lunch, we will work on mental techniques such as breathing, visualization, and goal-setting to help improve your dancing. Then, after another brief warmup, we’ll work intensively on another dance before finishing with a cool-down and stretches. All ages and ability levels are welcome.
Tuesday Camps—July 12, July 19, and July 26, 4:30-7:30 p.m. $80 per person for all three Tuesdays, or $30 per person for one Tuesday TheTuesday camps will be miniature versions of our Dance Intensive. Each class will start off with a warmup and then conditioning exercises. We will then work on one soft shoe and one hard shoe dance, finishing with stretches at the end. All ages and ability levels are welcome.
Saturday Camps—July 16, July 23, and July 30, 9:30-12:30 $80 per person for all three Saturdays, or $30 per person for one Saturday The Saturday camps will be miniature versions of our Dance Intensive.
