Class Cancellations

We are not having regular class Tuesday, June 29-Tuesday, July 6 (although we are having our summer dance camps June 28-July 1—see below).   Have a happy 4th of July!

You will not need to make up this missed week, as June, July, and August will all have 4 meetings of each class.

Dance Camp

     We are having four days of dance camp June 28-July 1, 9 a.m. to 12 noon every day at the Friendship Center. This camp is for dancers of all levels, ages seven through adult. The camp is $40 per day or $125 for the whole week.   We will stretch, do fun (and different) form exercises, and work on your steps.   A perfect way to spend the morning!

     We will also have a camp for adults on Monday, June 28 and Tuesday, June 29, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Friendship Center.   We will be working on form, conditioning, and steps.   For dancers in levels beginner 2 and higher, we will focus on choreographing new steps for the fast double jig and hornpipe.   All levels welcome!   We will be splitting groups according to level.

Colorado Irish Festival Feis

     The Colorado Irish Festival will be held Saturday, July 10-Sunday, July 11 at Clement Park in Littleton.   The Festival features an Irish dance competition, but also Irish bands, games, booths, and more!  

     If you are interested in competing at the Irish Festival, registration is now open at www.feisworx.com.   Be sure to talk to your teacher before registering if this would be your first competition.  

     Dancers under 12 will compete on Saturday.   Dancers 12 and older, including adults, will compete on Sunday.

Estes Park

     The Longs Peak Scottish Irish Festival will be held September 11-12 in Estes Park.   If you are planning on competing at that festival, book your hotel rooms now!   They tend to go quickly, so it's best to plan ahead.
