Heritage Irish Stepdancers Fall 2008 Schedule Information for Returning Students

          Fall is quickly approaching!   We’re looking forward to classes with everyone.   Attached is our 2008 fall class schedule.   Be sure to read the whole packet carefully for important information.   Let us know if you have questions!

          To sign up for fall classes, fill out the attached registration form and mail it back to us or give it to us at class along with your September tuition (which may be postdated for September 1).   Registration forms received without September tuition will not count towards the class minimum until payment is received.   Also, students must have balances paid in full to register.   Classes must have at least 5 students to run, and most classes will be limited to 12 students, so sign up right away to make sure your class runs and you have a spot.   Register by Saturday, August 23, since that’s the day we will decide which classes are running.   We will then send you an email or a postcard with your class confirmation (and if your class is not running, we will call or email you to discuss your options).

          There is no registration fee for students who took class over the summer and register by August 23.   There will be a $10 registration fee for students who did not take class over the summer or who register after August 23.

Fall Dates

Regular fall classes will begin on Tuesday, September 2 (there will be no class on Labor Day, September 1).   The month of September will be September 2-29; the month of October will be September 30-October 27; the month of October will be October 28-November 24; and the month of December will be December 1-20.

We will have these planned class cancellations: Friday, October 31 (Halloween), Tuesday, November 25-Saturday, November 29 (Thanksgiving), and Sunday, December 21-Saturday, January 3.   2009 class will start on Monday, January 5.

Plan ahead!   You can take make-up classes in advance for any of these canceled dates.   See more information about make-ups below.

Fall tuition will be the same as summer tuition:

$60 for Beginner 2 & Intermediate 1 (Evergreen classes are $70)

$50 for Basics, Beginner 1, and Adult-only classes (Evergreen classes are $60)

$40 for Under 7 Basics (Evergreen classes are $45)

$30 for each additional class or family member

$20 for group classes

Unlimited classes: dance ‘til you drop!   $105 pays for unlimited classes

(+ $30 for each additional family member)

Tuition will be due monthly as usual.   September tuition is due with your registration to secure your spot in class.   Tuition for other months is due the first class of that month.   Tuition received after the 15 th of the month will be subject to a $5 late fee when statements are mailed out.

If you want to change classes or will not be taking class during a particular month, please let us know before your first class of that month to avoid being charged tuition.   If you skip one or more months, a $10 re-registration fee will be added to your next month’s tuition when you return.

Tuition is due in full even if you are not able to attend all your classes during the month.   However, you can take a make-up class for any class you miss (see below for information on make-ups).

Special Semester Tuition Deal:

          You can receive 10% off your total fall tuition if you pay for entire semester in advance.   Just multiply your monthly tuition by 4 and then subtract 10% (let us know if you need help calculating the total).   Payments must be received by September 1.

Make Up Classes

          If you miss class for any reason, you are entitled to a make-up lesson.   You can make up your class by attending any other class at or below your level through the end of the semester (December 20).   We also sometimes have special make-up camps and workshops; check Upcoming Events or our website.

Our annual Fun Feis will be held on Saturday, December 14 starting at 1:30 p.m.   You can use make ups to both register for the event and to buy tickets for the event.   We will share more information you as the event gets closer.

          Please call or email us to let us know which classes you will be attending as make-ups so we can better plan our lesson.   It also really helps us if you let us know in advance if you will be missing class--thanks!

          Unfortunately, you cannot use a class you are registered for as a make-up.   For example, if you are registered for the Tuesday Beginner 2 class and you miss two lessons in September, you cannot use the same class in October as a make up (even if you are otherwise skipping the month).   Privates are also not available as make-up lessons.   However, we are always happy to help you find a class that works for you as a make-up--give us a call!

Private Lessons

          Private lessons are available for students of any ability level.   Private lessons cost $40 per hour for 1-2 people (there is an additional charge for larger groups).   Call or email to find out available times or to set up a private lesson.

Competitions

          For those of you who compete, or who are interested in competing, there are several competitions coming up this semester:

          Longs Peak Scottish/Irish Festival, Estes Park, September 6-7

          October Feis, October 3-4

          Fall Feis, Loveland, November 2

          Fun Feis (our special school event), Sunday, December 14
